Founder is worth it if you want every tool included and a permanent guarantee that we will never put you on a subscription. Is there really no monthly fee?
No. Opening a shop, listing products and using every tool costs nothing. We only earn when you sell.
What about Shopify — isn't it cheaper per sale?
Per sale, yes: Shopify Basic charges about 2.9% + $0.30 with no commission. But it starts at $39/month before you've sold anything, and it sends you no buyers. Below roughly $660/month in sales Terradine costs less. Above it, Shopify does — and if you're there, run both.
What's the difference between the two rates?
Who pays the card processor. Connect your own Stripe and they bill you directly, so our rate drops to 3% + $0.25. Use our checkout and we absorb processing, so the rate covers it. Neither has a monthly fee.
When do I get paid?
With your own Stripe, on Stripe's normal payout schedule — we never hold your money. With Terradine checkout, from your Payouts page once the order completes.
What is the Charter deal?
Separate from Founder: the first 1,000 shops are granted Charter automatically at signup — every tool free, for life, at the standard rate. 994 of those seats remain.
Will these rates go up?
We can't promise the standard rate never changes — anyone who tells you that is guessing about their own costs. What Founders get in writing is no monthly fee, ever, and every tool included for life.
